I'm

About

Some people are naturally dazzling, others find it a bit challenging when asked to talk about their strengths. I am one of the latter. Although I realise that it is necessary to be aware of both, your strengths and weaknesses, to put them to good use or to battle them.

I like to see myself as quite an organised person, a natural planner, someone who gets things done, under all circumstances. Not “sleeping with her binder and going nuts on a slightest change” organised, just precise and focused on the goal and the timeline.

I’ve got a technical background, used to be a developer and a tech lead some time ago, and I like this side of me and continue to feed it. I don’t want to get out of touch with the technical part and be “just” a project manager. That doesn’t mean micromanaging, it means knowing what you’re talking about.

Not much of a lone wolf, I prefer working in company. More of a dog from this point of view. In a team I like to be seen as a capable, no bullshit but fair person who’s always available. It’s actually one of the most important things for me, to work in a place where I feel like I belong, which covers a whole lot of aspects.

Some basic data about me above. I come originally from the Czech Republic but currently live in Bologna, Italy. Not close to the seaside if that's what you're thinking.

Skills

I believe in customer first order. That doesn’t mean pushing for whatever thing (more or less reasonable) the customer wants, but instead being able to translate that into an elegant and efficient solution.

There have been many opportunities that have brought me experience and helped me build my skill set, from tiny ones (almost one-man shows) to enterprise-level projects where you need the “silk gloves and steel armour” approach. I can keep my calm and resolve in both types of situations, concentrating on the fragile balance of stakeholders’ happiness, teams’ sanity and well-being and the product’s shape.

If I had to choose one thing I hate, it’s fake agile. Agile methodology is a wonderful thing, if done right. If you develop and develop and develop just to take the symbolic “blood bath” at the end, then it’s not done right. I’ve done my share of SCRUM master days to know how to work with one in harmony.

Oh yeah, and of course, I know a bit about AI, RPA, Python, some JS, Java and stuff. Live in Git, use Jira for everything but grocery shopping, used to be certified AWS Solutions Architect and Machine Learning Specialist but didn’t renew those certifications since that part of my skill set became less urgent.

Resume

Having started as a developer has given me a technical insight so much needed for a project manager in IT field. Since I first assumed the role of a project manager, I have mostly worked on projects with AI in their core, purely RPA or combination.
